Our research focuses the infrastructure of the future and the Future Internet Applications (FIApps) that will be built on top of them.
The scientific research is also oriented to the societal challenges and is committed to help the creation of a fully mobile and connected society where the right information is ready to be used by humans, machines and systems.
Our vision is based on new communication paradigms and a cloud hosted softwarized network that may handle several protocols stacks simultaneously by using a fully programmable slice a new category of complex cyber-physical computer systems will arise. These systems will support a totally new group of services that will foster innovation and will contribute to build construct smarter cities, societies and wellbeing.
Presentation of the talk "The Road Towards Future Internet Deployment" at the Florida International University (FIU). This talk addresses some key topics in this area and present our vision and ongoing research in order collaborate with deployment of the Future Internet.
Prof. Flávio Silva presented an joint work in collaboration with partners from UFRN. The work presents an extension to the Mobility Manager, a software component of the ETARCH control plane.
