First A2RCON Work Mission at Portugal

The professors Pedro Frosi and Flávio Silva were in Portugal in order to conduct the first international work mission of the Arquitetura Adaptável par Redes Convergentes (A2RCON) Project

The main objective of the first mission was to review the initial work plan and define the next main activities that will be handled by the masters and phd students that are in the A2RCON team.

The mission happened between June, 17 and June, 26. During these days it was possible to have several meetings at the Instituto de Telecomunicações (IT) from the University of Aveiro, with Prof. Rui Aguiar and the team of the ATNOG Group and it was possible to envisage and plan new joint collaborations.

The A2RCON Project is funded by CAPES under the Science Without Borders program with the Special Visiting Researcher (PVE) grant. The project main objective is to build a convergent and reconfigurable infrastructure that can support several network architectures by using network function virtualization and a centralized SDN control layer at the operator private cloud.
